Greetings all: On the Australian Light Horse Association Forum new postings have turned up about New Zealander Paul Sanderson's new documentary about the 10,000 horses from there that went to Egypt/Palestine in the WWI campaigns. His website is <www.horsedocumentary.com> concerning his film "All the King's Horses". Another website, NOT to be missed, is the one for the New Zealand Mounted Rifles. <www.nzmr.org> One senior lady member on the ALHA Forums posted (from memory) the number of Austrtalian horses she believes went to that campaign, some 265,000!!! None of which ever made it back of course. The best were sold to the Indian army at war's end & others culled if sick or wounded, & some thought to have got into the hands of the local population there? Only one horse, a general's charger was returned to Aussie. Grant.

Further: I now find, thanks to one of our ALHA's top researchers, that this new New Zealand documentary is already just out on DVD for $30. I'm asking the owner at his website how he wants currency sent & what kind? Grant.
