"California's Gold" was a popular, long-running local-interest show hosted by the late Huell Howser, and this segment features a reunion a Camp Lockett CA in San Diego County, where the 10th, 11th and 28th Cavalry regiments were stationed during WWII.
When these shows were put online, I sought out this episode because I had seen it when it aired in 1992 and remembered it after all these years. I especially like the ending, where the black and white film fades away to the current landscape.
The cavalry segment starts at 12:01.

I'm certain that everyone here will enjoy it as well.

Thank you Michael for the reminder of Huell Howser's PBS programs that are as he said "A Part of California's Gold".
After viewing the program a few years ago the internet provided more nuggets.
This was part of Huell's report.

My favorite part is the band playing Garry Owen as they pass in review at the canter.
