480. 1885 CAMPAIGN HAT, regulation issue style, 6" crown complete with proper 5/8" hatband, 2-1/8" thin wide sweatband with large letters "USA" embossed in it, snowflake side vents, and three lines of stitching on the brim, size 7-1/8. There is a hole added by the soldier, in the brim, by the crown on each side for a chin strap. The chinstrap is still attached and appears to be made from a boot lace. There is slight tearing of the material by the holes. There is almost no insect damage or staining. Overall the hat is in excellent plus condt. $850.00
463. Exclellent condt regulation issue complete with all original straps, hooded US embossed stirrups, cinch, and saddle bag stud. The contractors name, "Smith- Worthington & Co., New York and Hartford with the date 1918" is stamped on the safes and cinch and all the saddle straps and the stirrup covers have government inspector initials stamped on them. The leather is in excellent condition with no open seams and almost 100% wool remains on the underside of the safes and the cinch ring covers. The saddle is in excellent rideable condition............................................... $575.00 plus $40 postage and insurance, US shipping only.
