The Russians used a horse-drawn one called a tachanka; seems to me, that would really be of more interest to this society. The horses must have been pretty combat ready. There is a rousing tune, "Tachanka," that I've only known as an instrumental number; but I hit upon this Soviet era video of the song, illustrated with animated pictures of the use of such carts.

At least one is illustrated with a good number of photographs of the tachanka, including some in museums and some in the field.
