An interesting look at the Custer story.

Gentlemen: Inspired by that PBS documentary, which was not very complimentary to Custer, I spent a cold rainy Sunday browsing the web on the subject, where I found the outstanding Friends of the Little Big Horn site. The site has answers to virtually any question one could have on the subject, including links to eyewitness accounts from both sides, without getting bogged down in myth and the Custer mystique. It is far more comprehensive and up-to-date than anything else I have read and really does give a sense of the lay of the land and who did what where and when.
