The Imperial War Museum reopened with their WW 1 display and went to see it Sunday. I was pleased to see the museum was packed and even though I arrived 20 minutes after it opened I had to take a ticket for an hour later to go into the WWI display. Supposedly pigskin is considered supple and durable in saddles. I have never owned one but have known people who have. Hermes is known for their pigskin saddles.

Patrol horses on the Mexican border. When I retired in 2001 my successor got rid of the last 3 them. Now there are over 40 on the Arizona border (I think that number is way low now-I should call).
