That is an interesting- looking site and I was interested to see the main photo on the home page with troops going over the top. That's a famous picture, with the Tommy thumbing his nose at the enemy, but I have also seen a version in which he is not thumbing his nose.
I have seen other versions of famous war-time photos that have been altered to enhance them, with the addition of bomb bursts and bodies and so on.
In these days of photo manipulation such work is considered legitimate but I am reminded of the poor dumb photo assistant from my days as a journalist who touched up a photo of President Nixon to make it appear that he was wearing a tie with swastikas
There were very few causes for instant dismissal in those days but he hit one on the nail and was gone by the end of the shift.
