For those of us in lock down, or what ever fraction there of as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, I submit the above.
Written in 1872 by Henry Barnard, LLD, represents a detailed review of most if not all of the military schools of Europe and the United Stated. Mister Barnard covers all aspects of each school, including it's history, cost of operation, requirements for admission, courses of instruction, teaching methods, requirements for graduation, and follow on assignment to their regiments.
One should keep in mind the political boundaries that existed at the time of publication.
I recommend screening the table of contents if one were to looking for a particular subject.
Cheers
Tom
