Been awhile.
It's a bit late here in Moskau so I'll just comment regarding the post. Yes, this is 34th Mountain Brigade from Karachay-Cherkess (very familiar places for me and my family, at least part of it).
It is a packers platoon equiped both with Mongol horses and Karachai horses (http://www.theequinest.com/breeds/karachai/).
If you're interested I will try and translate some information regarding this platoon.
