I'll join you in that wish, emphasizing in particular that last part. May we all find ". . . peace to those on whom his favor rests" this year.

Is it cold?

I guess the east coast of the US was pounded by a nasty winter storm a few days ago. We're supposed to get a bad one here shortly, staring today.

Guess we'll be more than "Dreaming of a White Christmas."

Bright and sunny here today in Gloucestershire. But shivering out with the horses late afternoon..probably about -3degrees C. called into the pub to thaw out in front of the roaring fire with 2 double whiskies. Roads treachourous.
The drinks are just an excuse to avoid ferring kids about!!!

Wow. That's a scene like we imagine out of Dickens. Pubs, fires, whiskey and horses in Old England!

That sounds wonderful, John. Wish we could join you. My stepmother, Peggy, was English (Topsham) and this time of year she was really in her element. Wherever she was, England went with her.

How nice it is to have so many of our members close by right now- close to their computers that is- it's been quiet around here lately.

A toast: cheers!

cheers Sandy...its getting a bit colder. May pop over to the pub for another tot and a chat in front of the fire before turning in!!
Temperatures vary in blighty...colder to the north and east. Being near to the "mighty" river severn we don't get as much snow.
