It turns out there's quite a few of them. Oddly, quite a few are post Revolution, and Cossack themed, which is odd given that the Soviets heavily repressed the Cossacks.

Anyhow:

You've heard it before. I hadn't realized that this was a post revolution song, but it is. I just thought it was Russian folk tune.

The lyrics, fwiw, of a bunch of these songs are really similar in theme. Here's the ones for this one:

Field, my field, my wide field,
The heroes ride over the field,
Hey, the heroes of the Red Army

The girls are crying,
The girls are sorrowful today,
Their sweethearts went away for a long time,
Hey, their sweethearts went away to the army.

You girls, cast a glance,
cast a glance in our direction,
Wave far down the road,
Ey, the happy road.

We only see
We see a grey mist,
The hate of the enemy behind the forest,
Hey, the enemy's hate, like a mist.

Hey, girls, look,
We are ready to engage the enemy,
Our horses are fleet-footed,
Our tanks are fast-driving.

Hey, while on the collective farms,
The work is efficiently progressing,
Today we are watchmen,
Today we are keeping watch.

Dark Eyed Cossack Girl.

Lyrics:

A dark-eyed young Cossack girl
Once did shoe my horse's hooves,
Then she asked me for some silver -
Gave herself little value.
What's your name, my little dear?
And this dear said to me:
My name can only be heard,
In the gallop of a steed.

I went riding down a street,
And I galloped down a road.
On a path, among the brown,
and the greyest of all stones.
Masha, Zina, Dasha, Nina?
None of them, it seems, are her.
'Katya, Katya,' cutting through me,
From the horseshoes can be heard.

From that time, starting to ride,
In a gallop, the first step,
'Katya, Katya, Katerina,'
I whisper to myself again.
What a massive fool I am,
I've already another!
But, my Katya, like a song, can't be
Dragged out from my soul, brother.

A dark-eyed young cossack girl
Once did shoe my horse's hooves,
Then she asked me for some silver -
Gave herself little value.
What's your name, my little dear?
And this dear said to me:
My name can only be heard,
In the gallop of a steed.

And another, Cossacks in Berlin:

In this one, the Cossack protagonist is first bawled out by, and then enchanted by, a Russian female military policeman. It's a post 1945 song.
