Thank goodness we're finally beyond Andrew Lloyd Webber, and back to Ennio Morricone!

Of course, this is the next step - https://youtu.be/enuOArEfqGo

It’s one thing to have this level of inventive complexity in a layered soundtrack, but to do it live?

Also great fun to see recorders, ocarinas and the odd oboe or double bass bassoons in action. Not to mention the vocals.

Lol Good stuff The guy hanging from the rafters is a particularly nice touch. Eli Wallach would be proud of all of this. Man, throw in the theme from Stagecoach with a few French horns and I'm hooked!

Thanks for those. One sees a movie, even consciously enjoys the score, but seldom or never gives a thought to orchestration or performance, like taking plumbing for granted. It’s mindful to see how it’s done. I shall be thinking of Carl Davis, Bernard Herrmann, and of course Ennio Morricone today. RIP Maestro.

Speaking of the theme for Stagecoach, isn't it an uptempo version of " Bury me not on the lone Prairie"?
