Indian Scout (U.S.) Guidon
Looking for information. Did the U.S.S. Indian Scouts have guidons? I know that there is flags with bundle of arrows with a bow across the bundle, with the name of tribe or nation on it. If anyone has an example of a guidon please post it.

Re: Military Horse-related buildings
I don't know weather they are still standing or not. But at Wildflicken on the military post there are building that were still standing as late as 1983 when I was last there. 138th
Tomorrow marks the 138th anniversary of the defeat of the 7th Cavalry Regiment at the hands of a combine Soiux and Cheyanne force. I am not trying to glorify Custer ( my personal opinion is not nice). Just remember the troops and the Natives that were locked into this sruggle at that time.

Re: Abolishment of the Horse Cavalry in the U.S.
I'm like Todd, I was also in two draw downs. One just after Vietnam and the other as the Cold War ended. It was not fun in one iota. Saw many friends that I made during the first one leave the Army that deserved to be there. Officers fell like leave in the fall season. I was at a McDonalds in ...
