Well, have ya'll noticed a change yet? One thing you will notice is that you will likely have a problem signing in, as this system uses a different password encryption method. Which means that when this database was brought over and converted, the passwords were not able to be converted. In short, passwords won't match. The fix? Below the login area, you will see a link that says "forgot password?" In this case, the system 'forgot' the password, so just click on this link, enter your username (which is case sensitive!), and the email you registered with. A new password will be emailed to your email address, and you can use that to login - feel free to reset your password back to what you had before, or use a different one.

I'm not having much luck resetting my password. Is there a trick to getting in to do it?

For some reason I can no longer copy and paste items into forum replies.
Is there any way I can continue to do this?
Posting links etc. is a pain without this ability.

I can still do that, so I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Can you elaborate on that?

I am in a receipt of an email addressing the "Preview" and "Submit" buttons at the bottom of the window when you post.
You do not need to Preview a message prior to posting it. You can skip that and just hit Submit. If you do Preview your message, you'll need to submit it from that window after you complete Submitting it.
Previewing a message can be useful, but I never do it. Most of us are used to posting, and have a pretty good idea of what our posts will look like. If you use Mozilla, moreover, it spell checks for you when you type, and there's little reason to Preview.

Pat,
I think it must have been a temporary glitch as I seem to be able to do it OK now.

Sandy, Thanks! I'll try that. I've been out of town for a few days, got back, and the whole site looks different. Did it undergo an "upgrade" while I was gone?

Sounds like a few folks are having these problems. No doubt some kinks to still work out. It may be next week before we solve some of them, as I think that our chief engineer and founder is likely on the high school sports trail this weekend, another one of our moderators is likely right now on a flight to a distant land, and I don't know how to do any computer stuff (and I shouldn't be here either, but I was snowed out of moving cows this morning). For those who are experiencing a problem and know it, go ahead and email me or Todd and things will be taken care of next week.

As everyone here knows, it is necessary to register here in order to post.
Registration was down for awhile while the forum was being overhauled. It is now back open.
If you are not a registrant, and want to post, look at the upper right hand corner of your screen. There is an item there that says "Register", and has a check mark by it. Click on that, and follow the instructions, and you should be able to register.
There is always a delay here after registration, as the registration entry first goes to the administrators. This is because we have been hit by spammers before, and weed out spammers and the like, we hope, before they can hit us. Be patient, as we normally get around to approving the registration in much less than a day, and no longer, usually, than a day at the outside.
