Hi Jules: Pictures would help, as well as a description of any markings such as dates or unit stamps on the saddle and accoutrements. Sadly UPs do not command high prices although 40 pounds sounds low, particularly for one with wallets and nosebag. Post some pictures from all angles and particularly of the y-rigging on both sides and I am sure you will get a idea of what it might be worth.

I tried sending a direct email, not sure if it worked... I'd be interested in your saddle if you're still looking to sell it.

Nice looking 1902 UP, does it have any date or makers stamps? Any pictures from different angles?

I see photos are now up. I can see it is a fairly modern Household cavalry saddle....though certainly worth more than £40 with the kit. The horseshoe case should be worth that!.
