French 70mm Pack/Mountain Howitzer For Sale

I have a French 70mm Saint Chamond Mountain Howitzer for sale. I am asking $14,000. I will also consider trades for artillery & related items. Most important on my wanted list are German & Austro-Hungarian WW1 Era Artillery, Limbers and Caissons.

Is the dark blue color original to the piece?

The dark blue color is not correct. The light blue is more typical.

Light blue is an eccentric choice of colors as well. Was the thought similar to the "horizon blue" of French uniforms? I.e., it'd blend into the skylight while on the horizon?

In both the French and German Army Artillery light blue was the most common color from about 1880-1915. Below is an example of the French 75mm with this light blue color (scroll down to the middle & bottom of the linked page):
