Pack Saddle or Horse Harness

I pick up more harness on the weekend trace, brestplate but some bits of harness or machine packsaddle parts these photo I do not know help?
I need a pattren for the back straps and neck yoke

mountain gun pack saddle has a rod for lifting parts strapped along the side would this pad protect the horses hip??
