Guidon appears to indicate Troop F. I don't have any information of duty stations for Ninth Cavalry other than "Nebraska, Wyoming and Utah 1885 to 1898", in the AGO circular showing troop distribution from Jan.1 1866 to June 30 1909. Perhaps someone has a regimental history? Dušan
