National Geographic: People of the Horse

The March 2014 issue of National Geographic has an interesting article entitled People of the Horse, examining western American Plains Indians and they're relationship with horses. Included is an interesting map/graphic demonstrating the spread of horses in the New World. The article itself starts with the battle of Palo Duro Canyon, but mostly deals with contemporary people, including the Geographic's famous photographs.
