Now that is something I have not seen for a long time horse inspection.Soldier standing in front of his horse ready for inspection, takes me back to the mounted police, and Kings Troop. The term was stand to your horse, next command in front of your horse, the bit was held on either side and the horses head held up.

I was very interested in the use of collars. The chain collar was different also. I don't recall ever seeing them in use before. The adage of "control the head, control the horse" seems a bit difficult to me, though if it works, it's not wrong I guess. That website is very interesting. Thanks for posting it.
