Ft Davis, Texas photos

Couvi, it was abandoned in 1890 or 1891 if memory serves. It was first built in 1854.
This 19th century view of Ft. Davis is from the rocks on the opposite end from which most of my pictures are taken. It shows the entire officers’ row with cookhouses, as well as BOQ buildings etc. It really gives that impression that Pat talks about, of being a 19th century village – and in a real sense, I suppose it is one.

You were a few feet a way when I got that photo. It is a photo that I took of a larger 19th century shot on display for our benefit at the CMH when we went there with Jim Ott in '15.
