Photos of my father and friends. Nothing too special but I believe these were taken in Australia.

Sam, attached are letters with addresses. He must have spent some time at Camp Warwick before volunteering for the 62nd QM pack troop.

Sam, I wonder if this photo was taken at Camp Warwick. The photo is marked Signal Corps. I believe my father was in the Signal Corps before volunteering for the 62nd. The boys in the background always made me think this photo was taken in Manila, 1945.

In this photo, is he wearing the officer's pattern khaki shirt? It almost looks like there's an epaulet.

I'm sometimes surprised by how the supposed distinctions between the em and officers patters ended up ignored in the field.

I don't know Pat. I didn't notice it before. The original photo is small. Rich.

Really cool pics and covers

Thanks for sharing

Sadly nothing that gives much away at all

But the date of 1942 is pretty cool,it seems that the US had pretty solid plans for pack units in the PTO from the get go

It could be anywhere in Australia, looks like rural New South Wales to me

Any photo i am kind enough to share may not be used without proper credit to myself or www.militaryhorse.org

This is kind of like closing the barn door after the horse has bolted given my recent experience but i live in hope.

Sam, can you identify this felt patch. It looks Australian to me. It was in with the rest of my father's things. I have a guess but it is only a guess.

I should know, but what was the anticipated deployment (and in asking that, I can't believe we haven't discussed it before).

Given the terrain, that anticipated use makes sense.
