Donations made via the PayPal system to the Society will be applied to the costs of maintaining and operating the www.militaryhorse.org website.  If there are any additional funds available after these costs are covered, those funds will be retained for future website costs, or future projects that will benefit the Society membership and website visitors and users. If you would like to donate, but are not signed up with, or do not wish to sign up with, PayPal - feel free to contact us for mailing info at forum @ militaryhorse .org.

These costs are those that are incurred for services, materials, etc., from third party vendors, such as the website's Web Presence Provider (WPP).  Services provided by Society members, such as submission of articles, web development, etc., are NOT reimbursed, as these are donated services for the benefit of members and visitors.

Please understand that this is NOT a subscription fee, or membership fee.  Making a donation is not a prerequisite or requirement of membership in the Society.  Likewise, making a donation will not ensure nomination or acceptance of a candidate for Society membership. All donations received are irrevocable and non-returnable.

At this particular point in time, the Society is NOT a 501(c)3 or similar tax-exempt non-profit organization. While this is a worthy goal, it is one that is for some time in the future. Hence, do not claim any donations to the Society on your tax returns.
